Mathscroll (“we”, “us”) is made by Eight Bits Technologies. This policy explains what information the Mathscroll websites and mobile apps handle. Short version: we do not require an account, and we do not run a game backend that stores your scores.
What Mathscroll is
Mathscroll is an offline-first math practice game available on the web at mathscroll.com and as iOS / Android apps. Gameplay works without signing in and without an internet connection after the app or page has loaded.
Information we do not collect
- No account, email, or password
- No name, phone number, or mailing address
- No precise location
- No contacts, photos, or microphone / camera access
- No advertising ID or cross-app tracking for ads
- No server-side leaderboard of your scores
Information stored on your device
To make the game work, Mathscroll keeps a small amount of data only on your device (browser local storage or the app’s local storage), for example:
- Best score and daily streak
- Whether today’s daily drill was completed
- Settings such as sound, haptics, and round length
- The result of your most recent round (for the results screen / share sheet)
Clearing site data, uninstalling the app, or using “Reset all stats” in Settings permanently removes this information. We cannot restore it.
Network use
The mobile apps are designed to play fully offline. The website may load over HTTPS to deliver the page, icons, and optional progressive-web-app assets. Opening Share may use your device’s system share sheet, which is controlled by your operating system—not by our servers.
Analytics and cookies
Mathscroll can optionally load Google Analytics 4when a measurement ID is configured in the website's deployment environment. When enabled, Google may receive standard usage data such as page views, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type, and custom gameplay events (for example round start / finish). This helps us understand aggregate product use.
When analytics is notconfigured, we do not load Google's scripts. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.
The website may use strictly necessary storage for settings and game progress as described above.
Children
Mathscroll is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not create accounts or collect contact details, there is no child profile stored with us. Parents can clear progress anytime via Settings or by removing the app / site data.
Third-party services
App distribution uses Apple App Store and Google Play. Their privacy practices apply when you download or purchase through those stores. Hosting for the website may use a cloud provider (for example Vercel) that receives standard technical logs (such as IP address and user agent) as part of delivering the site—these are not used by us to identify players of the game.
Your choices
- Reset stats in the in-app / on-site Settings
- Clear browser site data or uninstall the mobile app
- Disable haptics or sound in Settings
- Play with network off after the app is installed
International users
Mathscroll does not maintain a player account database. Device-local data stays on the device where you play.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and material updates will be reflected on this page before new store builds that rely on them.
